The inspection content focuses on the condition of facilities, equipment, origin of ingredients and food additives; processing, preservation, and transportation procedures; legal documents on food safety; the implementation of three-step food checks, food sample retention, and catering service contracts, etc.
Mr. Đặng Văn Bình, Deputy Head of the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene and Head of the inspection team, conducted an on-site inspection of the company's kitchen area.
Based on the inspection of administrative and legal documents, Saigon - Rach Gia Joint Stock Company presented the following: a Certificate of Business Registration; all employees who directly handle food have received food safety training and have valid periodic health examination certificates. Regarding the kitchen area and food processing procedures, the company has generally complied well with regulations: processing staff are equipped with protective gear and do not wear jewelry while working; the kitchen area is arranged according to a one-way flow principle and is well-ventilated; kitchen utensils, equipment, and dining areas are clean and tidy; the water source used for processing is tap water; the warehouse is arranged separately for fresh and dry food and is neatly organized; and food in the storage cabinets is clearly labeled.
In addition, the inspection team also found some shortcomings and requested that Saigon - Rach Gia Joint Stock Company immediately address them. The team noted that the unit needs to regularly clean the workshop, equipment, and processing area; and focus on checking the labels and quality of food items when they are stored to ensure absolute safety during processing and serving.
According to the plan, from August 26, 2025, to September 2, 2025, the inspection team will continue to conduct surprise inspections at many food production, business, and catering establishments, as well as institutional kitchens in the province, to prevent the risk of food poisoning and protect public health during the country's major holiday.
